WORDS & MUSIC PROGRAMMES
Some fantastic news to share with you on Words and Music Extra this week as the Warwickshire Freemasons make a whopping £40,000 donation to the hospitals’ charity Incubator Appeal. The neonatal units at Heartlands and Good Hope treat around 800 premature babies each year and the generous donation from the Freemasons has funded two brand new incubators. Just look at her CV!

Philippa gets to go out and about to meet interesting people and find out what they’re up to!

Philippa is a full time Mum to toddler twins, however before they came along she had a busy career in broadcasting and communications.

She started reading the news on Manchester’s Key 103 as well as covering breaking news and sport stories.  From there she moved in to television where she spent ten years working as a reporter and presenter for ITV.  She then became a communications adviser to government Ministers at the Energy and Climate Change department before moving to the consumer organisation Which?.

Over the course of her career, Philippa has interviewed some famous faces and big names including former US Vice President Al Gore, former Prime Ministers Tony Blair and John Major and three of the Spice Girls (Posh and Scary have eluded her…so far!).

Her claim to fame if she needs anymore, is that she was once in a pantomime with the singer Sam Smith!
